Don't say avocado pie either, because I have heard of that and it sounds really disgusting to me. You can't cook them in anything, I guess they will be relegated to a salad ingredient for the rest of eternity.

17. Very good! I didn't think anyone would know
Best way to make salsa is with avocados too. Look for a great Mex place, they'll know how to make it.

34. Oh damn . . . avocado milkshakes. I'm really having cravings now.
The ones I had had some apple in them too, but they were still fantastic. I lived in Brazil for a year and that's one of the things I miss most along with Churrasco, Guaraná, and Água de Coco.

My favorite thing to do with them is make salsa.

Having grown-up in California I know my way around an avocado.

I bet I use avocado's in at least 50 different dishes.

We had two adult trees in our back yard when I was a kid. They can make quite a few fruits when they mature!

32. Here you go!
I like mine extra spicy but you can adjust the Tabasco to taste. :)

1 cup broad flat green noodles
1 large ripe avocado, peeled and sliced
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1/4 cup fresh cliantro, minced
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
8 dashes Tabasco sauce
2-1/4 cups half-and-half
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
6 (6-ounce) boneless, skinless chicken breast halves, (approximately 2 pounds) poached
1/2 cup roasted, peeled, and coarsely chopped fresh chiles or 1 (4-ounce) can whole green chiles, chopped coarse

Instructions
Prepare noodles according to package directions, drain, and set aside. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Drizzle avocado slices with lime juice and set aside. Melt butter in a 2-quart saucepan over low heat. Stir in flour, salt, and Tabasco over low heat until mixture bubbles. Add half-and-half slowly, stirring constantly until mixture thickens. Add cheese and stir until it has melted. Reserve 1 cup of this sauce. Mix remainder with cooked noodles. Place chicken in bottom of a 9 x12 x 3-inch rectangular baking dish. Cover with chopped green chiles. Spoon noodle mixture over chicken and chiles. Place avocado slices on top and pour reserved sauce over avocados. Bake, uncovered, 35 minutes.

19. sandwiches
you can make two sandwiches per avocado.

use good, sturdy wheat bread, not that shit bread in packages.

slice avocado, also tomatoes, sprouts, lettuce and a little mayo with salt and pepper.

also make a good salad of sliced avocado wedges, sliced hearts of palm (they may be endangered, if so, I'm bad I suppose), tomatoes (wedges).

wash and drain a really small head of loose leaf lettuce, like buttercress, separate the leaves onto four chilled salad plates and alternate the avocado, tom. and hearts of palm.

make a vinegrette:

one fourth cup first press olive oil
one half cup vinegar
crushed peppercorns
a little salt
half teaspoon good dijon mustard (not that crappy American kind)

shake and pour on salad.

serve with slices from a baquette.

you can also make a sauce for meats or fish with avocado, but I don't remember the recipe.

29. You can eat them plain.
So good when they are just ripe and so good for you..

I serve plain avocado slices with salmon or in a pear salad (avocados are technically pears).

There are also several pasta dishes you can make.
