Has anyone read Poem 20 by Pablo Neruda?

How could you not write for 2 pages is the question?

Have you looked at:

structure:ie repetition of elements...how he repeats them and why he might do that to forward the content.

content: what is he "saying" not just the words on the page, but how does he speak to humanity and thus to you in particular? Have you had similar experiences? If not, can you grasp what he is saying? How are you able to do that...what does he say that brings the content to the reach of those who have not experienced loss?

background: google neruda, he had a string of mistresses. Was this a particular one? Why was she so important to him?

If pop music is fast food (McDonalds), poetry is a fine meal. All the parts must complement each other for the meal to be successful. There are subtle tastes and textures that require thoughtful consideration.

How is this similar to a pop song, how is it different?
