Poll question: I am screwed!
I finally moved into the "company" after working remotely for 7 or 8 months. But the company has internet filters that prevent me from accessing DU forums. I can get to the Home Page and even read articles posted there (Plaid Adder, I'll see you on Wednesday!), but that's all. Like I said, I'm screwed....

So... the poll consists of the following:

(And somebody please kick this for Chicago DUers who visit in the morning. As for me, I'll try to check on results tomorrow night. Sigh.)

This'll be worse than trying to stop smoking. Do me a favor? Please let the "usual suspects" know what happened to me if they ask. And don't forget NSMA...

7. One of the Geeks I work with
set up a proxy on his Laptop and that got him around the filters at work.

8. Nah, they've got EVERYTHING blocked that is "postable"
I understand their policy, and the compliance reasons for it. I can't even access Yahoo email, or anything outside their spyware. They do let me go to Buzzflash, but it pales in comparison to LBN here.

9. Next time you're at work, try using a translator thingy to get DU

Put DU in the "Translate A Web Page" box and tell it to translate from Korean to English or something. You'll still get DU, but it'll be coming from Alta Vista's servers, so it might bypass the filter.
