11. Oh, my sister is in Temecula. Ha ha... I can laugh now... I'm in VT!
When I tell my family about our COLD weather (like -22), they don't believe it. So ... sticking my tongue out now.

(I'm a native CA girl from Escondido... but I don't miss the TRAFFIC... yikes that Temecula/San Diego corridor is NUTS)

We have 33 degrees right now.
Hmmm, time for some hot cider and a fire!

17. We used to visit bro to toronto
for the winter break, when they moved to Cleveland we still went

Trust me, I do know how htat cold is.

Now I have a blankie, and all that... the people I am sorry for are the really poor people on BOTH sides of the border who don't have these extra things to deal with the cold weather

Believe it or not people die every year because of it.

24. Yes, I know. Coming over the border in back country, every year, deaths.
I was on a Federal Grand Jury for 18 months.
Ooooh, the cases we saw.
Curl your hair.

When my students take for granted just being able to vote, I remind them that people die trying to get to this country.

Well, stay warm!
(I'm just teasing, as if I had my little sister here... LOL)

it's all relative to what you're used to.

I bet you'd die when it hits 100 in the summer here :-)

27. I've been to LA in the summer
It's bad all right, especially because of the humidity... hit a heat index of about 115. But not as bad as Chicago in the summer. I have no friggin clue why

Chicago boys don't whine about no steenkin weather! :D

29. cuz you're used to crappy weather
:-)

You see here in the land of fairly constant nice weather, even slight changes bug us.

I can take the cold.. but the hot humid stuff sucks big time..I HATE it.

Edited on Mon Nov-22-04 09:47 PM by mike_c
We've had hard frosts the last several nights

on edit: I'm on the coast, where the climate is usually cool but not often very cold.

on double edit: my hot tub is broken, too, so this really represents significant suffering!

18. I'm near the coast too..
but there wasn't much of a cloud cover (or whatever they call it) so I'm think that's why it's cooler than normal.

bummer on the hot tub.

My outside thermometer says 59 right now. I might not survive the night.

I went to boot camp in Chicago on March 21st - years ago. It was 10 degrees. Must have been a world's record. Those people call it "Springtime" hahaha - I don't know how they live.

37. it was productive
We worked on scenes to fine-tune and get more detail out of them. Plus, my 'wife' and I practiced a hilarious choreograph for the first time involving "The Arabian Dance" and "The Chinese Dance" from 'The Nutcracker' as the soundtrack, and starring us and the Major Award. I'll describe it more later.

It's way different than the movie, when it comes down to it. :D

the lack of a cloud cover I think.

the view was pretty good today too. I could see downtown L.A. and the mountains perfectly from the LAX area.
