how's this for an assignment?
write a paper about Dr. Strangelove.

You call that an assignment? I'll do this...with pleasure!

Time for research, I mean, time to watch the film.

4. About the movie
or about how the movie was made?

For instance, if it wasn't for an unfortunate accident (Peter Sellers breaking his leg during filming) Slim Pickens wouldn't have been in the movie.

5. here's the specific:
While the precarious "balance of power" between the two superpowers of the Cold War is now history, this film can still evoke valuable lessons for our current foreign poilcy. Up until three years ago, the idea of preemptive (not to mention preventive) security was pretty much unthinkable. it is still absurd, and a great threat to peace. in light of the lessons from this film, evaluate our current foreign policy, particularly our doctrine of preventive security.

6. Have heard conflicting accounts of this...
Sellers himself said that he just couldn't do that drawl and that he kept on trying to do things to convince Kubrick not to make him do it... Broken leg may or may not have really happened...
