What's your favorite animated movie?
I have a couple that I really love:

Spirited Away. An absolutely beautiful, spellbinding movie.

The Triplets of Belleville. Great animation and great fun. I especially love the dog.

Fantasia. The classic that introduced classical music to kids.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Classic animation, scary witch, beautiful girl. What more could you ask for?

9. I haven't heard of this one or My Neighbor Totoro
but if they're as good as Spirited Away I'll have to check them out.

7. My all time favs are
all by Miyazaki- "Spirited Away", "Castle in the Sky", and "Kiki's Delivery Service." We've given copies to our grand daughters because the are so affirming of strength in girls but not at the expense of the boys. I'm not a big fan of anime but these 3 are superb.

10. We just put Castle in the Sky and Kiki's Delivery Service on our list.
We saw the previews for them on the Spirited Away DVD and thought they would be good.

12. 2nd nomination for the Last Unicorn
I read the book and loved it. I also loved Peter Beagle's A Fine And Private Place. Lovely ghost story.

I'm adding the Last Unicorn to my list.

I've got about 100 movies in my Netflix queue right now. We may never get through them all but I live in the boonies and don't have cable. Lots of time to watch movies.

Just added it to my queue, along with several others that have been suggested. I haven't really seen much in the way of Japanese anime but if Spirited Away is any indication I'll be watching much more.

17. Now I'll tell you about Graves - it is the finest example of dramatic
animation I've seen. Now I list Spirited Away as my favorite film - animation or live action. But Graves is special. Ebert has put it in his top 10 films. It is a very sad tale about 2 kids in World War II Japan. The animation is breathtaking but the drama of the piece is just stunning - you will forget its animation. The highest recommendation.

Spirited Away is a beautiful film... our whole family sits and watches it. (Even the 2-year-old)

Who doesn't love Tim Burton? LOL!
