I bought the Febreze Scent Stories Disk player. I splurged $28 for it. I LOVE it!
My house smells fantastic. I spent the weekend cleaning my office carpet, where my schnauzer had been sneaking to pee-pee.
Anyway, I don't know if anyone has been thinking about buying one of Scent Stories players. It's awesome.

1. This will give away my general dumbness - but what are you talking about? |
|
A CD player that cleans carpets?

2. No, it's a cd player... |
|
that plays scent disks. No music, but five different related scents on each disk. And you can buy different disks. It's really cool technology.
I probably wouldn't have bought it, but my son wanted it. I am glad he did. It smells fantastic.

And are the better scents than those crappy little room fresheners that plug in or spray? I can't stand those things. but I like my pine scented candles.
:-)
And how long do the discs last?
Why do it with a cd player, and not some other scent-making device?
Sorry for the questions - just that I've never heard of it, and so am curious.

I've been spending time trying to mask the wintry odor of "wet dalmatian." It's not the most Christmassy scent.

10. See post number 7. I explain it there. |

My living area had wet schnauzer smell. :-) The scent story is made by Febreze, so it doesn't just mask the smell, it gets rid of it.
I highly recommend this product.

7. The scent player has a fan in it... |
|
the fan is silent, so you can't hear it, but it spreads the scent around the room. It plays five scents in thirty minutes, and then shuts itself off. I've played mine constantly since I bought it, and the disk smells just as it did when it was new. The scent disk has five related smells on it.
The one I am playing right now is the "Wandering Barefoot on the Shore" disk. Here is the series of scents it plays:
Track One: Walking in the sand Track Two: Under the palms Track Three: Wading along the shore Track Four: Splashing in the waves Track Five: SAiling in the bay
And you can get other disks, too. I remember seeing one that was floral-themed, and another that was vanilla-themed.
The disks cost about four dollars each.
And YES, they work much better than any other room freshener I have ever used. I have twenty-foot ceilings, and the whole living area smells like heaven.
I decided to buy this because I am a BIG Febreze fan. The best smelling air-fresheners on the market are put out by Febreze. I don't regret this purchase one bit.
I hope they have a holiday-scents disk with apple cider, peppermint, and other aromas.
Did I answer all of your questions? :hi:

4. How Much Is A Scented CD? How Long Will It Last? |
|
Does it play cheesy harps and windchimes music, or does it really tell a STORY? Do you get tired of listening to the story/music? Will it make scents without having to listen to the CD?
I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying it... but the first time I saw it in the store, I burst out laughing. (For the same amount of money, I could buy a case of carpet-fresh spray.) But I guess gimmicky things can be fun too... I'm certainly not well known for making the most logical purchases either.

8. No, there isn't any audible sounds. |
|
The story is in the smell. See my reply to Rabrrr above. I don't regret the money I spent. I am hoping that they do a holiday scent disk. :-)

Hey! I like cheesy harps and windchime music set to natural sounds. |
|
I have a few cds I fall asleep listening to while reading. One of them is an everglades type sound with one of those bamboo flute things kinding tying it together.
It's very relaxing and great for meditation.
