It's not just rightwingnuts that can be damned RUDE...so are some Liberals

So a year ago a guy who had a blog asked me would I help him post stuff on his blog. I said sure...and spent hundreds of hours posting over the past year, while my husband was Iraqmired.

It was very tough on me, researching & reading and posting things at night, and then working long hours every day, all with the huge stress of not knowing from day to day if my husband was dead or alive, but I'd been asked to help, and I'd said I would.

So I blogged. A lot. Especially when the blog owner said he wouldn't be able to help out much for some time as he'd started a new job with a long commute. So I carried most the load.

And then one day last week I go to blog...and my authorization to blog has been cancelled. Not one fucking word to me first.

I emailed a friend who posts with this asshole on another board, and she said he "wanted to take the blog in a different direction". He didn't mention to her, of course, that he hadn't even bothered to let me know in advance and had simply banned me from posting.

All that fucking work, all the time I sepnt, fucking HOURS researching and posting and building up readers to the blog...and he couldn't even be bothered to send me one lousy email saying "hey thanks for the past year but you're no longer needed". No nothing.

Not one fucking word.

I sure hope he doesn't treat his co-workers with this same contempt for simple courtesy & decency.

I send material to several other blogs, DKOS and Atrios and Digby etc, and I do research for several journalists, and the wasted year blogging until I was discarded, but I've never been involved in actually running and maintaining a blog & wouldn't have the first clue how to, lol!

I just wish he'd had the decency to send me one lousy email, rather than sneaking around like he did. Instead, he's turned the whole thing into a very bad experience. :(

I think that person owes you an explanation. But, you've illustrated why I'm very wary of the people I work with or for, especially if it's volunteer work. Take heart that you were able to express your pov for the better part of a year. Hopefully, on his penny.

Especially since it would have been so easy for him to make the changes he wanted while still giving you with a sense of accomplishment and not leaving a bad taste in your mouth.

The only thing you can take consolation in is your readers -- whatever the blogger did or didn't do, you benefited your audience in speaking directly to them.

Hate to admit I'm such a wet noodle that his behaviour has really hurt me...but it has, so thank you so much for the kind words, it helps. :)
