Poll question: No more copycat threads.

They are a waste of mind, bandwidth, space in the latest list. They are stupid and pretty much pointless. We get it already.

2. If you don't like them, ignore them.

It's really quite simple. Why impose on others when you can use ignore?

My vote went to 'I don't care', if anyone cares.

6. LOCKING. Questions and concerns about DU policy should be in the ATA forum

7. Copycat Threads are a DU Lounge Tradition
They just don't belong on LBN, ATA, or other boards, IMHO.

8. Look at the results, bub.
You should use your preferences to alter DU. That's infinitely easier than 50,000+ DUers altering their preferences to fit yours.

10. Try this:
Go to "Options" and select "Edit Your Preferences." One pref you can select is "Hide the Lounge from the Latest page." That'll solve one of the problems you have with the practice.

As for wasting mind, that's a user's privilege. And the admins can quite capably decide how their bandwidth can and can't be used. Skinner's already banned copycatting from the political forums. If he decides it should be stopped in the Lounge, I guarantee most users will stop doing it.
