True or false: Dogs have oppressed cats for ages |

Or so saith a friend of mine.

My big 19 year old Maine Coon doesn't take squat from any stinking dog. She puffs up, hisses and swipes and they always back down.

8. she's a tough cat but intelligence isn't the determining factor |
|
most Akitas wouldn't mind a cat clawing and biting as it attacked the cat. would consider that a minor nuisence. Akitas are big game hunting dogs, like bear and wild boar (or actually anything that moves).
wolves generally hunt in packs and work together. Akitas are generally more independent.

there was a cat that used to walk in front of my french doors going out to my patio....you could tell she did it just to piss off my dog. One day the door wasn't quite shut all the way. My dog had the cat by the neck and made about three swings with her neck and that was it. I had to take the dead cat over to my neighbors house.....wanted to say "it was the damn cat's fault"...lol

7. My Maine coon is the same way |

He actually likes dogs, or tolerates them. Except for butt-sniffing. That will lose you nose-chunks.

I have an 8 pound cat and a 95 pound dog. For years, the dog will not pass the cat on the stairs because he's afraid of her. My cat definitely intimidates the dog.
