Mozart, Partos, Sibelius, tomorrow evening.
My little fourteen year old grand daughter
will honor me with her company. She is getting
a hair-do, a corsage is being prepared. Her gown is
black, her eyes bright, beautiful.
I hope she is not embarrassed by her tired old
and excited grand father.

Even if she acts like it is horrible. And it will be a memory she will cherish long after (gulp) you are gone. Good for you. enjoy.

I doubt she'll be embarrassed. It obviously means something to her, too. I barely remember my paternal grandfather, and my maternal grandfather was gone more than a decade before I was born -- she's very lucky.

8. Have a wonderful time! |

There were three kids in my family. My youngest brother was a jock but the next brother and myself were interested in music. My Grandparents bought extra tickets to every concert (there weren't that many here) and the two of us took turns going with them. He and I both became professional musicians because they fostered our love of music while our parents focused on the many sports teams my other brother was involved in. You must be a wonderful Grandfather, I know we thought our Grandparents were the best in the world. How special for the two of you.

I wasted a lot of time playing Trombone, but it was fun!
