10. I refuse to pay what they are charging for bacon these days.
$3.99 for a 12 oz pkg..:grr:

I wait for it to go on sale, and then stock up.. This is the same damned bacon that I used to pay 99cents for a 16 oz pkg..

It's not good for us anyway:).. But I do love a BLT:cry:

All that greesy fat help the blood slide through the veins. Just keep telling myself that while I have another BLT.

I send what;s left..home with the guests:)

When our Labs were alive, I would portion it out in baggoes, and freeze it.. Every so often I would thaw some and they would have a yummy treat.. but no more doggies:(.. and my kitties are too "above it all" to eat scraps.:)

27. I just keep putting off going to the store until I am out of EVERYTHING
I will probably not go again until after Christmas..

Once the 3 boys grew up and moved, I don't shop often.. We usually eat out 3 times a week, and I buy bargains and freeze for later..
Like today, tri-tips were on sale so I bought 5 of them. We have an annual potluck (actually of them) next month and I always make tri-tip, so if I waited until I needed them, they would be $5 a ppound. Today they were on sale for $2.49 a pound :)

30. I Hate Food Sitting Around
so I do a lot of small shopping trips.

As far as meat goes (is that what tri-tips are?), I suggest finding a Korean supermarket like Hahn Ah Reum. There have to be some in Southern California. Fresh cuts at 30% discounts. Produce is an even better deal. Plus it's weird and wonderful.

29. Why do you want avocados for Thanksgiving?
I know it's California, but avocado for Turkey Day? I always forget stuff when I shop. I call my guests and ask them to pick up the forgotten stuff if at all possible.

34. Did you buy the swiss cheese?
I love guacamole. Have you discovered the guacamole at Trader Joe's and Costco? It's mostly mashed avocadoes and so much less expensive than fresh avocadoes.
