If you work with kids, then you know what I'm talking about. I see kids from every school in Champaign-Urbana and the surrounding area, so I get a nice variety of ailments. Haven't had pinkeye yet, but I came close.

17. Deep chest congestion and joint aches

for about a week. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the time of year. Smoking, drinking or staying up late will reak havoc on my body since I've gotten older, leaving me succeptible to anything going around, so I try to pace myself.

21. Caught something nasty out in Hawaii

I was a full-blown mucus boy for about two weeks. Then on top of that, I got pink-eye, in BOTH eyes! So I went to a doc for the first times in years. He prescribed Zithromax and some goopy crap for my glozzies.

All better now, except I still got some crap in my throat in the mornings. Going back to TX tomorrow, bye-bye Hawaii, kind of glad to finally go home.

I am the healthiest person I've ever known. I have a kick-ass immune system.

I'm an elementary school teacher; that probably helped build up that immune system, but I was extraordinarily healthy before that.

As a 12 year old, I was terrified of standing up to give an oral report in front of my class. So, the night before, I took a cold shower, fully clothed, and went and stood outside in the middle of winter and screamed for an hour, trying to lose my voice and make myself sick. It didn't work. Not a sniffle or even slightly hoarse.

When the world is coming down with something, either I don't get it, or I get a very mild, quick (24 hours) version that doesn't slow me down in the least.

Whatever the world is coming down with today, I don't have it.
