Why do some people hate bread crust? |
|
For the life of me, I can't figure out why some people cut off the crusts. It makes no sense, the crust is by far the best part of bread!
Clue me in.

it's an early indicator of a tendency towards serial killing.
I like heels, too.

5. I love the crust, especially from sourdough bread |
|
I also think white bread (other than sourdough) is disgusting. Wonder bread? No thanks. Whole wheat for me.

6. I worked my way through college as a baker. |

I am revealing no secrets when I tell you:
THE CRUST HAS EXACTLY THE SAME INGREDIENTS AS THE REST OF THE BREAD.
You people who reject crusts AND you people who dig past the heel of the loaf to get to the GOOD BREAD are assholes.

My daughter is one who hates crust. I willingly cut the crust off for her, though, because my son LOVES crust. He eats the crust from her sandwiches, plus a sandwich (with crust) of his own.

when I was a child and my sense of taste was far more acute, that the taste of breadcrust is more bitter.
I think I could tolerate it, but I recall that so vividly that I imagine that is why some kids, and adults, don't like it.
