Need help finding info on peculiar ailment |
|
Every time I get angry, I start experiencing pain - physical pain - in my brain. It's not what I would call anything remotely like a normal headache.
And the pain's effects can linger for days.
Given *, my job, my dipshit psychiatrist, and everything else, I'm worried that this anger is going to be the cause of something I'd rather not think about.
Has anybody heard of this sort of thing?

1. Have you had your blood pressure checked? |
|
Hypertension can result in low grade headaches.

6. 120/70 average, unfortunately |
|
Though, with anger, BP does tend to rise... but THAT much?
I get chest pains if I run half a mile too quickly but definitely not sharp stabbing pain in the brain...

5. Don't believe the brain actually feels pain. |

I think I've read that. Some brain surgery is done with no anesthetic. However...there are a number of extra-cranial nerves and muscles. Stress/anger can do a number on those. So can hyper-extension of the neck.

7. You know I've been so pissed off all year about politics |
|
I've begin to feel like that too. I get light-headed a lot now. I've never been angry as much as I have been this year, either. More exercise has helped me get rid off some of that stress and fury. Maybe that will help you out too.
Exercise. Relaxation. Better diet. Not sure if that will help, but it has somewhat for me.
