Does anyone think the West Memphis Three are guilty? |
|
I've seen both Paradise Lost documentaries, and if I just go by the information in them I would have to say that those three guys were wrongly convicted and that Byers guy is the real guilty one. But it also seems like the documentaries are pretty one-sided. Has anyone here researched the case pretty well, and could argue that they are guilty? I just don't see how they could have been convicted, even in a backward county like that one (and I grew up in a similar place), if the story is exactly as portrayed in the documentaries.

Of course, that's just based on those same two documentaries you mentioned and what little I've read. I haven't done enough research to give you any more info than what you already have. The case is too sickening for me to research.

back and forth on it. Both "Paradise Lost" and the sequel are not exactly objective. Right now, I don't think they are, but a couple of weeks ago out of the blue I started to think about it again (I haven't seen any news about it for a LONG time), and I thought well, maybe.... but more often than not - I think they are not guilty.

6. The conviction bothers me, too. |

The physical evidence was either extremely weak or nonexistent. It looks like those guys were convicted on a theory after a witch hunt.

I have done a lot of reading on this case and they were convicted on the basis of fear and being "different"
I think there is a definite case in looking at Byers for these. There are bite marks on his step son and then the guy gets all his teeth pulled. That plus a lot of other things should make everyone look at him.
