1. We have a bunch of stray cats at work...
and I was just remarking to a co-worker the other night that I can't understand anyone who doesn't like cats. These little kitties, obviously, are great. I wish my two could get along like that. Stoops has never quite forgiven Oscar for horning in on her territory.

3. Hmmm...
interesting strategy, but I'm afraid to try it myself. As much as I would love another cat, I'm afraid it might throw Stoops into a full-scale depression. My wife probably wouldn't be all that wild about the idea, either.

5. it took years
the blackandwhite kitty is 15 years old and the black cat is about 10 years and it took about 7 years for them to warm up to each other!

I think the older cats get they realize that the goodlife is lots of snuggles and lots of pets!

I think they might have something with that!

they also bonded when we moved from colorado to california...nothing bonds like trauma!

6. I'll hold out some hope then.
Stoops showed up about a year before my wife and I got married. It took her a while to warm up to me as she's the cautious type. Oscar showed up the day after our wedding with a "here I am" attitude. He doesn't have a care or an enemy in the world. They've been together two and a half years now. Maybe in another five years or so, they'll be buddies.
