Here's a thread for what we are thankful for: Our pets
I'm so thankful that I have my adorable 2 kitties Abbott & Evita. Abbott has got to be the most adorable cat in the world and Evita is just the most precious princess (yeah, even with her kitty breath) in the world.

Come december it'll be Abbott first aniversary with me. I can't imagine life without him!

How much poorer our lives would be, without our menagerie.

2. I'm thankful for teaching,
I'm thankful I have students who can learn and who appreciate my efforts.

I'm also thankful for my country. So thankful I won't stop fighting for her ideals.

4. You got that right.
Stoops and Oscar - two of the most cantankerous cats ever born. We love them both beyond all reason.

9. I'm thankful for a decent job that is somewhat secure,
a loving wife who really knows how to put up with me, a roof over my head, my two fuzzy kids, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas on the weekend, good music, and the fact that at least a good portion of 49% of the people in this country are on the same intellectual level as I am.

10. I have 2 birds
Quaker Parrots. We actually got Arlo Guthrie first, we went to a breeder after our keet died last January. We were so lonesome for the talking. Arlo was just a little fuss then We visited him every weekend until we could bring him home in March. His friend we acquired 2 weeks before we brought him home. Oliver..who upon blood test proved to be a girl... and is now just Ollie... was a rescue. She tends to pluck if she doesn't get enough attention. They are in there now calling tickle me tickle me......calling for EMILY,,,,, our daughter... saying what you doing and singing the Quaker song. Very amusing and messy but I love them

12. i'm thankful
for my three cats, spyder, fluffy and bjorn, especially bjorn cause he's the new boy.

i'm thankful for my cantankerous turtle, christie.

and for the lovely parakeets, ein and minchi.

one of my cats, fafhrd, died this year at 18 1/2. i'm thankful that he lived as long and as healthy a life as he did, and that when he went it was fast, painless, and in his own time.
