Our dogs are such wussies! |
|
Edited on Wed Nov-24-04 04:35 PM by Padraig18
The rain has changed to sleet/snow here, and Brody went to the door and barked, which means he wants to go out and pee. This attracted Grover, who immediately thought that this was a MARVELOUS idea. I went and opened the back door, whereupon said dogs saw the snow/sleet, and both immediately returned to the living room, where they have now crashed for a mdi-afternoon snooze, sans potty break.

My last dog also hated the elements in his latter years.

I think this was more of a 'curiousity/boredom' pee break, rather than an 'I've REALLY got to pee' pee break.

Cold baths, too. Shapes their character you know.
Edit: Punctuation gaffe.

6. Let them pee in the house -- it'll give Tony something to do |
|
Besides being nervous, right?

7. I think I'd have to institutionalize him. |
|
That'd be the final straw. We already have foot-wiping towels by the door, so they don't track up his freshly-mopped kitchen floor.

8. First snow here last night |
|
and we woke up to a steaming gift on the landing. Now these dogs NEVER do this. Apparently one of them has decided to reject the idea of pooping in the snow. Lovely, just lovely.
Mean mom threw their asses out this AM and would not let them back in until she had observed them doing their thing.

I'm going to let him handle that, should it be required.

'Mean dad' Tony has forced them to go out, and they both are doing their best 'poor, cold doggy' imitations. He has decreed that no one gets back inside until he sees....ermmm.... 'results'.

They are now sucking up all the attention they can, after having been toweled dry. :)

12. My dog won't go out even if it is sprinkling rain. |
|
She has held it for up to three days in the rainy season. But when we do get snow (which is very seldom here in north Georgia), it doesn't seem to bother her.

15. My chihuahua Tico held it for over a day!!! We just had two |
|
nasty days and he hid, refused to go out, and had to be coaxed to eat and he LOVES to eat and squeaks a toy to announce dinner time!!
He's sensitive to extreme weather changes, I think, not the first time...but 24+ hours is a record!!!
