Storms fried my modem.........

....I'm postin' on my ol'relic laptop...got it runnin' for the time bein'...dunno if/when I'll get a new modem...so NOW my desktop is a glorified gamblin' machine....been playin' a LOT of BLACKJACK....AND beatin' the computer too...heh heh...split 'em and double DOWN!! :evilgrin:

...and thanks...hope I get it fixed by next week... and yeah it was really scary...there were several parishes declared disaster areas after the twisters and severe wind and lightening that came thru here....hope you're havin' a good day today!! :hi: :loveya:

4. I woke up to a black screen on my laptop.

I feared a fried modem too. I called Dell and while listening to their recorded messages I heard one that I thought might work. I tried it. I dropped the battery out and replaced it, then tried turning it on and it sprang to life. I was very relieved.

....yeah I've tried EVERYTHING and it's just not workin' still...sigh....at least I got this old thing to work for me...at least for the time bein'....the built in mouse and also the power port on this thing are barely keepin' me online at present...glad you got yours workin' and hope you're havin' a good day today!! :hi:
