My Day Is Just Getting Worse and Worse |
|
Okay. So I really would like to have a thick chenille 1950's bedspread. Finally, I found the one I really like on eBay. It's bootiful. So I bid on it, like three times. Now someone is bidding heavily against me. I look on her feedback, you can do that, and the last item she bought was a George Bush Campaign Basket . I can't believe this. This beech has the freekin thing up to $50.00, shit, the postage is almost $15.00.
Part of me wants to outbid her, the other part says, this is ridiculous paying that much money....it could go up to $100.00.
Oh to heck with it, I'm going to go take a bath and go to bed.
Another loss to a freekin freeper.

Bookmark the item, and don't bid until the last two minutes of the auction.

4. don't bid against her. |
|
it will only drive up the price. Wait till 30 seconds till the bidding ends, then swoop in and grab it from her!

5. If it's a freeper, you can expect a conspiracy. |
|
You're probably bidding against a friend of the seller and she is just jacking the price up so that you will pay more in the end.

6. I'm curious as to what's in a 'George Bush campaign basket' |
|
Hmmm....lets see....
1. Gloves and a ski mask to break into your own campaign office.
2. Pamphlet "Disenfranchise Voters the College Republican Way"
3. Pre-filled out loyalty oath for * rallies.
4. Hooked on Phonics.
5. Inspirational John Ashcroft gospel CD.
6. Special edition George W. Bush Velveeta log.
Those are just a few I could think of. Feel free to add your own suggestions.

Make the rightwinger pay more.
And don't worry, there will be another one. There always is on eBay. :)

I Froogled "vintage chenille bedspread" and 50 bucks looks pretty moderate for for them - they go for lots more but there are some for less. Try it - you might find something you like that you don't have to bid on. Good luck! http://froogle.google.com/froogle?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&safe=off&tab=wf&q=vintage+chenille+bedspread&btnG=Search+Froogle&sa=N

whoa, those are pricey. I think I'll just wait for another one to come along. I saw one go for almost $200.00, now that's a little rich for me. There's one gal there that sells gorgeous ones, really thick, lots of chenille...you just can't find them in the stores anymore. I'm doing a shabby thing here and it's driving Mike crazy. The whole house. Shabby this, shabby that, I'm shabbied out. Thanks again !
