Just an informal poll wondering how you access Democratic Underground.
My primary means is from my study at home, on a desktop PC, high speed Internet, with plenty of coffee.
I also get on from work on my laptop (but with a docking station & kbd--I can't use laptop keyboards very well). I only lurk from work, rarely post from there.
If I'm traveling, I occasionally dial-up from a hotel room if they don't have high speed access.
How about everyone else? How many people use a wireless LAN connection at home? Does anyone have their PC in the kitchen? Do you DU from the back yard or the pool? How do you get here?

modem. May go wireless as some future date and post from my home "office."
At work, lurk mostly from a PC in my office via T1 (I think). Post occasionally but mostly lurk and read to see what's happening in the world that day.

I need to be at my employers for a few hours per day, for team meetings, etc., but a lot of my work I do at home in my project studio via a fat T3 line.
While working at home, CBC/BBC news is blaring throughout the day on my video monitors, and a Windows kit is always online to receive email/instant messaging from work (it's used exclusively for this. My Mac G4's have never kissed the internet). Since joining DU just prior to the election, my homepage has been set to DU forums - DISTRACTING ME FROM GETTING ANY WORK DONE...LIKE RIGHT NOW.
on edit: I spend several months of the year in France. Our flat, which is in a 200 year-old building and has no cable, is right above an internet cafe. When we go back early next spring, I'll probably do a "letters from Pau" type of thing, keeping folks up to date on America's #1 enemy: French people.
