Looking for some video compression software.

Alright, here's the skinny: I have a video from my brother-in-law that I wish to compress as it's currently a 500+MB file. I want to compress this down to about 20MB.

So my questions are this: is it possible? (i know I will lose quality, that's ok for my purposes) and what software is there? I'm looking for freeware/shareware, I did a search at VersionTracker and allI got was Sorenson Squeeze.

I'm running Windows 2000.

So yeah any help would be greatly appreciated.

4. I do this for a living..

MPEG: http://go.to/flaskmpeg

DIVX: http://www.divx.com/divx/windows

I use wmv for most of my compression, but divx is a good alternative. There are tons of free apps out there that will compress to divx.
