Mary Jane, anyone???
Edited on Fri Sep-19-03 11:32 PM by SoCalDem

This one even has a little scrunched up face imprinted on it :)

A Grumpy Mary Jane :)

My friend Connie knows how much I like these, and she brought me TWO BAGS this afternoon.. I only have them near halloween.. Any other time of the year they are stale and hard-as-a-rock..

What other Halloween delights do you guys enjoy???

1. Popcorn balls
Nobody gives 'em out anymore. Everyone's too paranoid now, but when I was young, we got popcorn balls, homemade cookies, pennies, things like that in addition to our candy.

8. The bag also says...
Necco! Will your next post show a picture of a Peanut Butter Kiss with the subject "Necco Wafer" anyone?

Ok, maybe you were duped by a Republican clerk. I'd HATE to think the worst of you...

12. I liked the chocolate Neccos, but
never cared for the other colors.
Going back to your original post, maybe some folks would like this recipe: (be sure to read the whole thing)

The Original Mary Jane Superweed's Super Candy

Ingredients (available at health/wholefood shops

1 lb roasted cashew butter. 3/4 cut dried currents. 3-4 tbsp. honey. 2 cups shredded coconut. 1/2 cup ground almond meal.

In a mixing bowl blend cashew butter with honey. In a flat tray mix coconut with almond meal. Roll and knead cashew honey mix in coconut-almond mix. As the cashew picks up the coconut it will become less tacky. When both are thoroughly blended spread currents on tray. Roll and knead currents into the candy. When this is done pieces can be broken off and shaped into individual candies. To add cannabis: knead 1/2 - 1 gm of pulverised cannabis (preferably crumbly Lebanese) into each 3/4 inch cube of candy. Alternatively use pre-prepared THC Butter.

I have actually ordered old time stuff online.. It never tastes as good as I remembered it..

EXCEPT for Blackjack and clove gum.. That tastes as good as always.. DAMN them for discontinuing it..

Occasionally it makes a comeback, but not for long.. (a company in Canada makes it from time to time)...just to torment me :(
