While on the subject of weird dreams -- here's mine

Last night I dreamt I had been elected mayor of Niterói -- the city just across the bay from Rio.

I was in the house of a supporter, wearing only shorts. I was hasking him/her (fuzzy) whether the city offered a place for the Mayor to live, and s/he said no, I had to look for a house. That worried me.

Other thing that worried me is that the former mayor was very popular and I didn't want to screw up, so I was planning of asking him for advice (Godofredo Pinto, he's really that city's mayor and in reality has been reelected last October).

1. I'm told that a house is often representative

of a state of mind or of the mind itself. But then there is the idea that someone is in the house and the house is in fact not yours. It could be that you've let someone into your life or your mind lately and you felt naked mentally which could be the reason for you being scantily clad.

But then there is the idea that you are looking for a house. Have you gone through some serious changes lately? Maybe feeling like you are starting all over again?

The only thing I can think of about being a mayor is that that is a position of authority. It could signify that you are just gaining control over your life or some aspect of it and you are starting to feel empowered, yet you are still not sure about yourself, thus you have to ask somebody. When that person says you are on your own, it may signify how you really feel right now.

Just my thoughts. I don't know anything about psychology or dream symbolism so don't take me too seriously.

3. Sounds like you're concerned and want to be doing the right thing...

are you considering a major life or career change or promtion coming your way? You seem to be a bit worried about how you'll go about doing it without a solid foundation (clothes + home) .
you want to achieve as well as the former mayor, but wonder if you are lacking a proper foundation. At least you are secure that you have support! That's good. Just mild anxiety there, from what I can tell.
