If you had a magic wand,
and only could use it once, what would you use it for? (Silly answer first, then serious one, please).

1. Kind of a personal story
Edited on Fri Sep-19-03 11:54 PM by populistmom
To help my brother.
My brother is a year younger than me and at age 16 months began seizuring and developed a severe form of epilepsy. When he was little, he have 50-100 a day on meds (without meds, he would have died). He now has few seizures, but because of this, now functions cognitively at about a two year old level. He's able to walk and take care of his own feeding and toileting needs, but cannot speak or sign and does not have self protective skills (i.e. would walk out in front of cars).
When I was a little girl, I'd always make magic wands to carry around to make him better. By the time I was about 7, I realized that the magic wands would never work and remember this moment of feeling crushed. Even to this day, when anyone ever asks me that one wish, I think about my brother and what I wished for when I was a little girl.
I know here everyone else will give some type of global answer, but that's my one thing I'm selfish about.

13. I don't think it's greed
I think it is covetousness. Its ok if you want something for yourself it is NOT ok if you want something that belongs to someone else.

9. OK, maybe not first on the list, but these would be good:
I would have a member of the Bush dictatorship call a press conference, and magically admit the truth, that Bush was complicit the 9-11 terrorist attacks, which were planned in Crawford, TX in August of 2001... That would at least get Maggot-face a prison term, after the treason trial.

Next, a revelation would appear that proves the ties between Nazi Joe Scarborough and the death of Lori Klausutis, as he was likely involved.

12. I would go back in time...
...and not get into that car 2 days before my wedding. I would have taken the train home instead like I'd planned. I wouldn't have crashed. I'd have been able to stand up and wear my dress at my ceremony. I'd have been at my own wedding reception. I'd have gone on my honeymoon and had loads of sex. I'd be having a baby. I'd be able to walk.

Selfish, I know. But that's how I feel right now.
