I'd like to make yams for a Thanksgiving potluck. Anyone got a mouth watering recipe?

2. if you are using canned, drain them |

but them in a baking dis with some 1/2 cup brown sugar, a half stick butter, cloves and cinnamon, about 1/4 teaspoon each. bake them in the oven. If youlike you can put marshmellows on top and let them brown.
I you are using fresh yams, peel and boil first.

mash the yams and mush in a bunch of crushed pineapple (canned is fine but drain off most of the liquid) and as much honey as you like just to add a little extra sweetness ... start easy on the honey; you can always add more ...

Mash them and mix with butter and brown sugar. Peel and slice and put in a pyrex dish and then cover with half orange juice, half water and bake.

Steam pieces of yam and then mash with some orange juice and fresh nutmeg. It's great. Many other great ones on the Cooking and Baking Group
