Anyone familiar with Chinese lettering? |
|
I need to see "Pork Fried Rice" written in Chinese characters.
And once I've seen it, I'll tell you why...

It is the main reason (besides his daughter's acting) that the Godfather Part 3 sucked rotten cannolis.

I bow before your google prowess! You humble me.
So here's why I want it...
I have seen an inordinate amount of my co-workers getting Asian tattoos. "Peace," "Joy," "Tranquility."
They get the tattoo and preen about as if they've become suddenly masters of Eastern mysticism.
I'm going to try to convince one of them to get this tattoo.

It's just plain old snarkiness allowed to run unchecked.
I have no social editor. I do, however, have a great deal of fun.

In my experience social editors are prissy little busybodies dedicated to the eradication of good clean fun.
They should be abused whenever possible.

14. And herein lies my problem... |

I can't install the Chinese Language pack, so all Chinese lettering appears as blank rectangles. And somehow I don't think that's it...

That's a great tool.
I do Japanese, and the characters between the languages overlap.
What Babelfish has given is a literal translation.
Here's the meaning of each individual character, as the Japanese would interpret it. I'm willing to bet that the Chinese probably also see it this way - Pork Meat Oil Heat Style "Raw Rice"
Another poster posted handwritten characters for BBQ style. The final character of that one is the appropriate one to use for rice that has been boiled/prepared. (It also means "Meal", since rice is their staple food.)
Anyhow, I'm jumping down from my Japanese lectern & hitting the hay. I hope that I didn't spread more confusion. ;-)

29. When bad tatts happen to good people |
|
I have seen a couple of completely non-sensical characters tattooed onto peoples' body parts, but one story kicks ass.
I was at a party this summer, and this really buff guy had several characters on each arm. One of them was a great meaning, the other one said "ass" - not as in jack-ass, but as in bare-ass.
Then, along comes me, a.k.a. drunken-ass. . . telling him, in front of his friends, what it really meant. I still feel bad about that.
