My 10 year reunion was last night and there was a little incident. Advice!
So my 10 year reunion was last night. It went really well. It seems like everyone that showed up moved to NYC from LI where we grew up, got married and some are having kids. Somehow everyone there is a successful world traveler or mom. It was a nice little event overall and it was great to see some old faces. Some of us have been in school together since kindergarten and now we are all 28. That's about 22 years. Anyway, I went to the after-party which was at some lesbian bar. One of the girls (it turns out) was into chicks and she knew which bar to go to. That was fun too. There was music and thankfully not that many people. Here's the incident.

At the very end of the night, as I'm leaving, I am speaking with one of my classmates. She is very nice, though we didn't talk much in HS or since. I have a cold. I accidentally coughed while talking with her without covering up. I couldn't control it. I think there may have been a projectile, but I don't know. As I'm walking away, I think I heard her shriek "Harry (that's me) just coughed on me." My friend says that I never heard it, but I think I did. It really was an accident. I have her address and am thinking about sending a letter and apologizing. What do the wise DU masses think? Thanks

2. You know those opportunities to do something RIGHT THEN?
I think that was one of those opportunities. Anything else would just be weird.

5. Very well put
Saying "I'm sorry" at the time would be nice. Sending a letter would seem odd.

4. Nah
She'll probably forget about it by the time the letter arrives anyway.

6. I guess somethings never change
Sounds like HS all over again, doesn't it? Send her a nice card telling her what a nice time you had. If she can't get over it then she is still stuck in HS and you have moved on.

7. Come on
out with it. The apology is a guise to have more contact with her, right? I mean, you are sincere about the apology, one can tell, but you're secretly hoping she'll want to see you. Give her a holler, you only live once.

9. I have a girlfriend
that I don't plan on breaking up with. She has a boyfriend that she seems attached to. I just feel like I will be thinking about that for the next 10 years.

11. Sounds like one of those "let it go" things because it'll just make it
worse to make a big deal out of it.

15. Forget about it and here's why.
Because everyone in your class knows that as soon as you left the reunion, you set your mind on gettin' paid. Yo yo yo yo.

Plus it would make you look overly self-conscious if you wrote to them and they might freak out. Especially since you're supposed to not have time to do that because you set your mind on gettin' paid.

Yo yo yo yo.

16. Plus then she'll probably talk about that you called her.
Being like "he just called me to apologize for coughing on me! He tracked me down and everything!"

You don't have time to track anyone down when you're makin'. all. the. money. And bringin' it home.
