Ack! Just saw the new Chanel No 5 commercial.

It's awful. I don't know if it was meant to be campy, a spoof, or what, but it's bad.

I have never been fond of Chanel No. 5 personally, although one of my sisters likes it quite well.

There will never be another Catherine Deneuve.

I'm sorry I saw the damn thing.

But the funny part is that I'm watching the National Dog Show on Bravo, and that's where I saw it!

I like the scent of Chanel No. 5, but that's probably due in large part to the fact that it reminds me of my beloved grandmother.

I had to watch the whole thing to find out just what they were selling.

I love the scent. Can't stand Kidman though.

At first I thought it was an ad for a new movie. Then it got too tacky to be that, and then Voila! The diamond pendant of No 5...

I groaned out loud when it was over.

5. she's with some dude in most of it.

Doing some kind of pseudo Moulin-Rouge kind of thing, I think. Hard to describe. At the end, she's this big star who arrives all decked out at what is presumably a Premiere, gorgeous gown, etc.

It's probably the same one you saw, otherwise, she's made TWO terrible Chanel commercials!!! :o
