Which Previews were Better than the Actual Movies?
I like to think I'm pretty good at picking out the movies I'll like based on the previews.

I was SO wrong about GARDEN STATE.

I think the GARDEN STATE previews were so much better than the actual movie.

Sort of makes sense since the best part of the movie were images that didn't amount to a meaningful story, but were useful for previews.

8. If only he died after the first few Star Wars movies
He'd be remembered as a genius with amazing potential, rather than someone on a long slow descent.

7. Sky Captain
I LOVE Jude Law, and I enjoyed the movie, but it was more of a silly kids movie than the cool sci-fi story the previews looked like.

9. "Cliffhanger"...
Edited on Mon Nov-29-04 10:57 AM by Crankie Avalon
When the preview had a slow motion, completely silent, super close-up of Slyvester Stallone's face, everyone in the theater burst out laughing at him--for several seconds. Hilarious! :7

11. Any preview where they expose the entire plot,
you just know the movie has to suck. Recent example: Christmas with the Kranks.

12. all those Police Squad movies... and...
Those Police Squad movies with Leslie Nielson had all the silly jokes in the previews, which ruins them for the actual movie. Too bad, it was a great TV show, too.

a horror movie called "The Relic" looked great in preview and pretty intense, but was actually pretty poor on the screen.
