I'm jewelry manipulation challenged....
My wife bought me a bracelet for my birthday, and I have to get her help to put it on. Same thing with my earring, lots of times. Wonder if I'm eligible for the Special Olympics?

because losing a leg or being deaf is just the same as not being able to do up a bracelet on your own. :eyes:

And it's PARA olympics not 'special'. If you're going to mock it at least get the name right.

such, then you obviously are the one with the problem.

And, it is Special Olympics, they call it that themselves:

I'm sorry.

Why else would you post a comment like that?

I think you'll find it's Paralympics

6. They're two different things.
Have you really never heard of the Special Olympics?

7. No..
The paralympics gets all the coverage over here.

From what I read at the link, the special olympics is for people with developmental and learning disabilities?

11. That's ok, I know how that goes. Regardless, I wasn't trying to
insult either organization. Truce?

8. Possibly because I had difficulties accomplishing something
a huge portion of the worlds population does with ease? It was humorous recognition of a fact relating to myself, not meant to put anyone else down.

Special Olympics

Providing year-round sports training and athletic competition to more than 1 million people with intellectual disabilities in more than 150 countries.

I was simply claiming it appeared I had an intellectual disability.

It's Special Olympics. You're talking about a totally different organization. I'd think it would be obvious, if I said "Special Olympics" and gave you a link to a Special Olympics website, that I was not referring to "Paralympics."

9. Men can't put on jewelry
I'm guessing you're a man--most people with wives are. The majority of men just have fingers that are too big to manipulate those tiny catches. Not your fault, don't worry about it.

12. Yeah, just sometimes though. Mostly when I've had it out for a
few weeks, and can't seem to find the hole.
