5. Last time I saw Big Al

was a couple of months ago, in the restaurant in the Four Seasons Hotel in Georgetown, in DC.

He was drunk, and loud, and the three people with him were silent and embarrassed.

What a red, sweaty face he had.

I was thrilled, of course, and kept hoping he'd just pass out and fall onto the floor.

No such luck.

He has this podium at his place, and he was going into his "I'm in charge" rant while I was there. It's sadly obvious the mind has completely gone. Really tragic to witness.

8. I once got stuck in his driveway

I used to deliver the Sunday New York Times in McLean, Va. I delivered to a bunch of celeb types: Sam Donaldson, Teddy Kennedy, Pat Buchanan, Alex Haig, et al.
I was turning around in Haigs driveway in the snow and I got stuck. I was afraid he was going to come out and declare himself in charge. :crazy:

It was about 20 years ago and my mother then looked remarkably like a more earthy Catherine Zeta Jones and he massively checked her out trying to strike up a conversation (I was there too). My mom's a good Democrat though and lost him. :D
