Is the Daily Show back this week?

I think we should make it illegal for Jon Stewart to ever go on vacation. Ever. I don't care if he'll miss seeing his kid grow up, I want my Daily Show!

1. He should let Colbert fill in while he's gone..

Although he's probably busier than Jon these days with all his voiceover work.

3. Why can't The Daily Show be an hour long?

Nothing would make me happier than if The Daily Show went to an hour long, and dumped Tough Crowd off the air in the process.

Jon could easily spend half an hour doing one or two interviews per show, and not over-burden the writers.

And look at how easy it is for Letterman to burn through 15-20 minutes a show on fluff? "Will it float?" or "Name your cuts of meat?"

Jon can do much better than that. Maybe a five-minute monologue, 15 minute interview, and another 6 minutes of commercials.

How hard would THAT be?

And the maybe Collin Quinn will go share a desk with Dennis Miller.
