once back in high school a teacher was talking about some belief than wen traveling from point A to point B you go half way, then half way of the remainder, etc. I don't recall exactly where this came from, but his conclusion was that based upon this theory, if somebody were to shoot him, the bullet would never hit him since it would keep only going half way of the remaining distance.
In response to this, I made a paper airplane and threw it. Fortunately (so as to conclusively disprove this) it hit him in the face.

called Xeno's Paradox. Although we actually can move through space, shoot people, hit them with airplanes, etc, it is a little mind-boggling in light of Xeno.
