I have no internet access at home.
I don't understand. I lost the connection on Saturday and I never got it back. I think everything is all paid up for the internet.

1. What kind of service?
DSL? Sometimes we reboot the modem system when we lose our connection.

56K? That might be a modem failure in your computer.

Did you call your ISP?

2. Is it dial up, DSL or Cable?
Edited on Mon Nov-29-04 03:58 PM by kranich
If it is dial up how far do you get?

If it is DSL or Cable obviously reboot the computer and then attept to restore the connection. Also try reseting the modem. You can do this by powering it down (unplug it). Usually that fixes it.

It would help if you provided some feedback as to what messages you receive.

4. It says cannot find server.
There are other computers in the same room and they all have the same problem. I have a DSL.

3. If you have cable
...turn off the computer, turn off the modem, turn off the router. Then turn the modem on first, wait for it to boot up, turn on the router, turn on the computer. If you have no router, skip that step.
