I have had enough of Ken Jennings |
|
Sure, win as much as you can, but give someone else a chance for crying out loud. I haven't watched Jeopardy in about six months because that goob is always on. Someone take a bat to him during double jeopardy and end it. PLEASE!

3. Here's his losing question: |
|
This company has a workforce of 17000 people, whose average working year is only 4 months long.
I think I know the answer. Anybody else have a guess?

I believe this is it. I considered the NFL but thought otherwise because there are several different entities (teams) with different payrolls.

I bet the NFL was his guess then. I figured when you combined players, coaches, administrators, etc. you'd get 17,000.

Man, I hate that "Eggland's Best" commercial, where the girl goes MMmmmmm! in this completely fake horrible way. I mean, yeah how excited are you going to get about an egg, but still.
I don't understand "only watching for Ken". Theoretically if you didn't watch it before, how would you end up watching ol' Kenny Boy in the first place?

Or Midas mufflers? I'd rather see a half hour of George Foreman than the same guy every day.

24. At least Ken is a Democrat |
|
He has made anti Bush comments a few times on the show. He posts on a board called www.televisionwithoutpity.com He said he was approached by Bush people who wanted him to campaign for them in Utah and he said no way, he was voting for Kerry. He said people assume because he's Mormon, he's a Republican but he is most definitely not. So even if he's a bit annoying sometimes, at least he isn't a repug.

We TIVO "Jeopardy!" and I FF to the end of each one to see if he's won. We'll watch it again after he loses. Nothing against the Ken Machine. I'm just bored.

29. Here is Ken Jennings Bio from NAQT (quiz bowl association) |
|
My older two children compete in Academic Challenge/Quiz Bowl and Ken Jennings is a question writer for the largest organization that sponsors quiz bowl. Here is his bio from the NAQT site Ken Jennings Ken Jennings grew up in Seattle, Seoul, and Singapore, and has since lived in Spain and Salt Lake City. He just now noticed that everywhere he has ever lived starts with the letter "S" and it's starting to creep him out a little bit. He played quiz bowl for BYU for three years before graduating with a degree in computer science, and now works as a software developer. He likes travel, Iron Chef, and Preston Sturges movies. He and his wife Mindy live with their son Dylan and their Labrador retriever Banjo. He currently edits literature and mythology questions for NAQT, which means he can now edit an Osiris/Isis/Horus bonus in his sleep.
