Man Sues For Getting Hit In The Mouth With A Golf Ball (GOPisEVIL Blamed)
:evilgrin:

<snip>

Weekend duffers beware: That errant golf shot could be more costly than you think.

A lawsuit recently filed in Cook County Circuit Court claims not even a call of "Fore!" could have prevented one golfer from being left with "a mouth full of false teeth," his attorney said last week.

Vito Straziota claims the poor design of the Seven Bridges Golf Club helped cause Straziota to get hit with a golf ball.

The suit says that poor design, coupled with the offending golfer, Harry Cho, not paying attention, caused Straziota to become "permanently disabled."

Now he wants unspecified damages from Cho, of Chicago, and the DuPage County golf course, which he says poorly designed the seventh hole, from the tee to the green.

"This guy hit him right in the mouth with the golf ball," said Straziota's attorney, Robert Kosin.

"The guy hit the ball too soon, but there's really not even enough room to exit your cart out there."

I've been hit once, and I couldn't sue because I got hit by a kid. Why couldn't I have been hit by a rich Republican a-hole? :P

7. I Was a Member of a Foursome - One of Whom Hit Someone With a Ball
We were at a point where one hole's green was about 200 yards to the right of the tee box of the hole we were playing. Ours was a long fairway, so we were really pouring the coals to our drives. One of our group sliced worse than I had ever seen; the ball looked like a cruise missile - never got over 15 feet off the ground, headed straight toward the adjacent green. The ball smacked a portly fellow right on his bare thigh, making an audble *thock* sound. He immediately began wailing and rolling around on the ground in pain. Another fellow in our foursome said, 'oh, man, Dudley, what...what do you think you should do?' Dudley replied, 'I think I should widen my stance and keep my head down.' Dudley was never known for having much sympathy for his fellow human beings.

9. "pouring the coals to our drives"
I've never heard that one. I'll have to remember that one when I play prairie pole (small ball) again. Played on Sunday....let's leave it at that.
