13. unfortunately, I'm an expert in such matters |

have dealt with more than my share of cat urine since I have a bad habit of picking up stray cats. The problem with urine is that it is much harder to remove than feces. The smell lingers, and there is only one product I've found that can actually remove it--and it's not cheap.

My mom bought some from the vet's when one of our older cats was advancing in years and had kidney problems. I recall it being clear, colorless fluid.

I've gotta tell you that horse shit doesn't smell all that bad. But cat poop??? That's gotta top the list.

29. actually, back during the debates (I work at Washington U. in St. Louis), |
|
my father suggested I start collecting my cat's poop and place it in little suspiciously-wrapped packages addressed to Bush, then leave them all around the all over the debate hall for the Secret Service to find. Wasn't bold enough then, but it might make a good inauguration gift now...

at least 3 day dead rained-on bloated rat carcass that my dog ate - as I watched from inside and was too late to stop her)
Then she barfed it up - bones mostly...................
THEN
SHE ATE THE BARFED RAT!!!
She stunk for 4 days.

One of the cats *insists* on depositing a fresh one every time I clean the litter boxes (once a day). Makes your eyes water. He thinks it's cute. :D

Last week, when doing the weekly catbox cleanout, I had emptied the pans and had them in a bag ready for the trash. Unfortunately, one of the little smart-asses took this opportunity to take a fresh one right on the rug next to his box, BEFORE I got a chance to refill it.
I KNOW he only did it to be a smart-ass. He's never done it before in a similar situation. Thankfully I had my nose plugged so his little present didn't knock me out, although the eyes were watering.

22. We have a beautiful, petite blue-point Siamese. But when she poops, |
|
it is enough to peel the paint off the walls.
All you can do is hope that you have the stamina to scoop 'n flush quickly enough before you pass out. :nuke:

23. It seems as though the most beautiful cats do the stinkiest poops! |
|
My Norweigian Forest Cat can peel the paint off the walls, yet any mixed bred cat I've ever had can't hold a candle to the odor. I feed them the same cat food.

25. Yes! Our Snowshoe (Siamese + DSH mix) is benign in the litterbox. |
|
But the purebred Siamese -- whoo-hoo!
They're both rescues -- the Siamese was left behind by a couple who moved to Australia (and didn't want to subject her to the lengthy quarantine, although they didn't care much when they had her declawed); and the Snowshoe is an amputee -- lost his left hind leg to an animal bite when a kitten (gets around great, though).
The Norweigian Forest is a **beautiful** breed -- it's about time for the winter coat to come in!

26. She's starting to fill out, |
|
she had an episode this fall. She started to over groom & had a few "spots", shall we say. It was a lot of visits to the vet & a lot of money, but she's back on track. We adopted her 3 years ago, declawed (but she bites!). She's a beauty, but a bit goofy, that's why we love her.
