DU and the bottle aren't enough anymore!
I needs me a woman. Or maybe another cat. Should I make this into a poll?

James, George, and Elsie. James is a bitch-cat of a tabby. George is a skitterish grey. Elsie is a FAT tuxedo.

8. aye, but she's grown sullen in her later years
She growls at the other kitties whenever they walk by. She gets beat up daily. I don't know how she can be nothing but a fat love ball to the humans, but an ornery bitch to the other sweet kitties.

10. she wants all the attention of course!
kitties are very jealeous creatures. I have an old old old cat, who hates it when we smother the other cats with attention. he's cranky, not so much now, his mind is going going going, almost completely gone, he forgets where he is most of the time

11. We have five kitties
After that, a single-malt whisky pretty much takes care of everything else. :D

am. More difficult to swing with each passing year :D

14. What is it about the gray gene and the skittish gene...
...being linked together? Our Socrates is grey and white, and very skittish, and one of the outdoor cats (Odin) is grey and white with some serious speeding problems.

19. Sometimes Socrates freaks out...
...he's been violently allergic to the doorbell ever since the triplet's first birthday party - he dug himself under the covers and stayed there all night - and will fly down the stairs at warp 12 to hide in my office when the bell rings. Two and a half years later, no less.

However, he also sleeps flat on his back, going against a bazillion years of evolution to hone his situational awareness :) It's kinda cool to have a cat feel that safe in your house.

21. sounds like a monster cat
that's what Aussie (pronounced ozzy) is, a monster cat, big ears, big feet and big tail, and freaks out at people coming in, or new bed things or a person opening a drawer too loud. and yes he too sleeps on his back sometimes, the cute little guber

22. Socrates weighs 18 lbs and change...
...and his doctor swears he's not fat. He's two feet long (without the tail), and he used to be the size of his head. We rescued him and his brother and sister when they were about 5-6 weeks old, and they've been with us ever since.

27. COOL!!
Great big cats are so cool. Socrates' brother weighs almost 18 lbs, and their sister rings in at about 9. Their cousin weighs about 12, and the oldest tips the scales at just short of 15.
