Not bad, not great-- Bill had most of the funny lines-- Tim Robbins was on but he didn't say all that much-- Dana Carvey was mildly amusing pulling out his old Schwarzenegger imitation-- I read on DU somewhere that he's a repug but you wouldn't know that-- he spit out the line "How did our oil get under their sand?" as if he'd made it up. . . then they had on a repug woman congressman from New Mexico who said nothing memorable.

Bill also interviewed Christie Todd Whitman and was only mildly challenging with her about the Ground Zero EPA lies-- I kept thinking of how Robert Knight on WBAI keeps saying, "Christie Whitman gassed her own people."

There was also a satellite interview with Nancy Pelosi, who said a lot of scathing things about our Iraq involvement, but that we couldn't just pull out now.

13. Carvey
In one of his standup acts he talks about Bush I and meeting him and how he was a great guy, so the Republican label would not surprise me. I actually assumed it.

3. I was wondering where you were, since you usually do the Maher thread
It was okay, but nothing special. Kind of like it's been the last couple of weeks. But Aaron McGruder is on next week. He's always good.

5. Oh, Michael Moore!
I was trying to think of the other guests... I knew there was someone else good, but couldn't remember (I was a little tipsy last night.)

Who is the right winger? Is it Coulter?

11. Rightwingnut Charles Barkley...
It's getting hard to tell who's gonna be on the panel and who's gonna be on the screen. Love to see Mike on the panel, of course. But, I thought this week was a pretty good one. Carvey was lame, I thought.

not too bad, Tim and Bill are getting some good lines in.

THe people at the official site weren't to pleased, so I was just wondering if it was worth it

8. I was a little disappointed
the energy level just wasn't there. Robbins had some good lines. Said he was anxious to see a Major O'Reilly or a Lieutenant Limbaugh in Iraq (or words similar). I was impressed with Pelosi. I found Carvey annoying. He wasn't prepared to discuss political issues so he did retread impressions and unfunny meaningless jokes. Whitman was, as usual, a very smooth public relations hack.
