So I just watched Meatloaf on Fox....

Thank the gods that he's not in Nugent's league. I'd heard that he was a rightie, but if he is then the worst he had to say is that entertainers should be just entertainers, and that was just about it. Notice that he kept to the above statement--he really didn't talk about politics. That was really the closest he got. So he at least gets points for sticking to what he preaches.

That's one worry over. Meatloaf was a big part of my childhood. I didn't want to see him foaming at the mouth.

2. meatloaf was in this awful movie where he played a mad murderer...
and I turned it off immediately.

I think entertainers have as much right as you or me or anyone to say Exactly what they darn please about Our Goverment. Thanks, meatloaf.

4. Oh, I agree
But it was nice to see someone who says he thinks people should act one way, and then to see them actually sticking to doing it themselves.

7. Yeah! I guess I'm just a bit disappointed because to me Meat
seems like a totally different person than a "rightie". :-(

But at least he's not a hypocrite! :-)

9. They didn't get into specifics at all
But I'd guess he's more of a Libertarian than a Repub.

3. My mother-in-law used to hang with Mr. Loaf
back before he was anybody. My husband kind of looks like him and I always tease that Meatloaf is his dad. He isn't BTW.

6. I was afraid
to look and see what you had to post about his interview, but my curiosity got the best of me. I turned my kids on to Meatloaf and his music is on very often in the car of coming from their rooms. So many of his songs have special meaning to me and it would have broken my heart to learn that he was a jerk after all. I don't mind republicans, what I mind is those who lack decency. Well, actually, I am uncomfortable around republicans, but not all of them are jerks...really, sort of ....well maybe not, but .....*LOL*

10. What was funny is that they were showing scenes from him in
RHPS and not once did Cal Thomas comment on the "lack of decency" in that film. ;-)

I guess that would be because Fox owns RHPS.
