If you google your real name, does the first result have anything to do with you? My wife is first on her list, but I'm buried deep in the list of sites having anything to do with W****** F******. Probably two factors at work here...

1. my wife's name isn't nearly as common as mine
2. she's way cooler than I am

I agree, Bill is a common first name... but your last name is quite unique. I bet when you were a kid you got teased a lot. Who could have known, at the time, how relevant your name would turn out to be?

My name is a common expression in what appears to be swedish, and is usually preceeded by "kjempa". Weird, eh?

11. If you share name with common/famous people/stuff

then use the "-" feature to remove them from the search e.g.

"John Smith" -captain -ale

the quotes "" keep the whole name together in the search and the -captain -ale removes lots of crap you arent interested in.

Most of the rest of the results are mine -- both my professional and my personal work ends up on the Internet.

I do have my work cut out for me when I change my name back (reverting to maiden name after the divorce). Only a few of the hits are mine.
