PayPal sucks ASS FUCK EM FUCK EM! |
|
So I go to go buy some stuff over the web, and the company uses PayPal for it's transactions. Now I'd partially signed up for PayPal before, but didn't give them my credit card number because I'd heard some bad stuff about stuff that happened in the past at paypalsucks.com. But that's no problem, this site lets you buy stuff without a PayPal account. So I type in my email at the end of the transaction and it says:
Our records indicate that this email address is already registered to an existing PayPal account. To complete this transaction, please enter a different email address.
To log in to your existing PayPal account, please click the Login button below.
If you log in to your PayPal account just to get past this fucking screen and pay for your stuff al-fucking-ready it has you attach your credit card # to your PayPal account which is what I don't want!
FUCK 'EM I think I'll just go set up a fastmail alias for a few days just to use for this and they'll have not jack shit from me.
PAYPAL SUCKS ASS!

A few years ago, I sold a microphone to somebody on EBay, and they payed me via PayPal.
A year later, Paypal emails me and they say that the credit card the guy used to pay me for the microphone was fraudulent.
So, who do you think took the hit? The guy who fraudulently used the card? The credit card company, who makes money on interest rates? PayPal, who makes a cut off of every transaction?
No siree Bob. Yup, you've guessed it: I took the hit. I was an easy target, after all; all they had to do is simply subtract the $250 or whatever it was from my PayPal account, and withdraw it from my credit card.
Needless to say, no amount of bitching, moaning, phoning and emailing changed anythying.
Also needless to say, the guy still has my microphone.

4. That's part of the reason I don't want them to have my credit card. |

I've heard all sorts of bad stories years ago on http://www.paypalsucks.com and a lot of them boiled down to the fact that they were not "really" a bank and thus not subject to the many laws that protect consumers when using banks. I don't know if the regulatory situation has changed but back then it was like ha ha fuck you!
