Ignorant Neighbor
I think they have a whole freaking band (instead of just the neighbor and his bass guitar) playing in their basement tonight. My window that faces his house is rattling.

2. Can't. It isn't late enough yet.
The noise ordinance doesn't kick in for another 45 minutes.

5. No, there's no law in place regarding noise levels during the day
The only exception is for large semi trucks. They aren't allowed to jake brake in the city limits.

7. Hey, that's pretty cool!
I did drop a pair of headphones, complete with a red bow, on his porch. He didn't take the hint. LOL!

I might get one of these small amps for my husband. He loves stuff like that. Thanks!

6. I would just let it go until it gets later
If it's infrequent, then just ignore it. Try to work something out tomorrow and wear earplugs tonight.

12. Yup - that's the plan. He's got 2 minutes to finish up this rap session.
Maybe 5 minutes... just in case his clocks are off a bit.

8. i've got the solution
point your stereo at his window. Play Lou Reed's Metal Machine Music cd at full volume. He will get the point. I once used this cd to drive a family of squirrels out of my roof.

13. You broght back memories
on my fortieth birthday, my son's band got out on the deck and played songs for me. But we invited the whole neighborhood so no one would be pissed. Worked out really well, until someone who lived a good bit further, that we didnt know, called the cops. It was about nine, and mostly over with. No biggie, best damn present I ever had. They sounded like Nirvana and Toadies mixed, and sure wish they were still playing together.
