2. Merv Griffin was heard to mutter "Oooooooooooooooo a robot". |

Of course Ted Koppel devotes an entire segment of 'Nightline' to KJ/Jeopardy and NOT ONCE mentioned the evil that machines have brought to mankind. :tinfoilhat:

I clearly just don't allow them the final word.
I am not delightfully saucy.

It was a dark and stormy night in Kennebunkport, in 1946, when George and Barbara heard the snap of the tree limb, and were plunged into the darkest of darknesses of a power outage. George fumbled around and found the stub of a candle, and after getting some hot wax on his hand, located the flashlight. Since he had never been to a store, he did not find any batteries, and cursed his bad luck.
Barbara saw this as an opportunity, and called him into the bed room. Eight and a half months later (always impatient), in the mini- baby boom of the '46 blackout, George W. was born, with the silverest of spoons in his nose. um, er mouth.
And, as they say, the rest is history...

That was about the easiest Final Jeopardy answer I've ever heard. And notice that the show that it happened on was on the final day of November. Jeopardy leaked the word that he would be losing in November and got everyone to tune in for every day of November sweeps. Everything about the situation is fishy.
