Police Suggest Leaving Your Crack Pipe At Home When Bailing Out Friends
<snip>

MILFORD, Conn. -- If you're bailing a friend out of jail -- you might want to leave the crack pipe at home.

Police in Connecticut report Robert Amato and Valerie Lawler went to the station house to post bail for a buddy. But when Lawler opened her car door a crack pipe fell out -- right in front of a police officer.

Authorities said the officer investigated further and found a baggie of coke. Both Amato and Lawler were busted on a number of charges, including drug possession.

Officers said the pair didn't even go to the right police station. Their friend was arrested on an outstanding New Haven warrant, and was transferred there.
