What's your favorite Rock band.....why?
mine! The Experience with Jimi Hendrix. The sounds this band made redefined all I knew about playing the guitar and rock music in general. Never before have I heard such poetry put to such words and laid down in a killing rhythm format! Hendrix still rules!

REM
U2
Social Distortion
They Might Be Giants
XTC
The Cure
and probably some I'm forgetting at the moment.....

14. I borrowed the Live at Leeds CD a few weeks back
Having only heard my vinyl version for all these years, man... what a revelation.

Those guys could play, huh?

7. I saw them in concert once, and they were excellent.
I hadn't realized what a good guitarist Dave Davies was until then.

10. BIG JOE'S POLKA MOSH PIT WANKERS
i remember back at Woodstock Big Joe did such a fantastic claranet solo thru his 19 Marshall bottoms and small stone phazer people piddled in the mud.....actually i like Green Day because they cook. saw Hendrix for the first with Sly and the familly Stone opening for 2.50$ at the filmore east..times have changed.

Besides being superb songwriters (second only to Lennon & Macca) and master musicians, these guys gave a big "FU!!" to the record industry and have done it their way for nearly 3 decades now.

And they haven't dropped off one bit.
