Blogs versus the Message Boards?? Is one better than the other??
I have been a DU reader for a little over 2 years

I would be considered a "lurker" at a little under 300 posts. But I read 2 or 3 threads almost every day. And I have been to 2 DU personal gatherings

Posting takes a tremendous amounts of time and reading and finding out who replies to what you say takes even more time.

The web seems to have latched onto BLOGS

There are rating services, sites that rank the best blogs etc etc.

I see very little Message Board chatter?

Is the BLOG craze hurting DU or are the 2 technologies compatible??

Yes, I have looked over the Dean BLOG and just don't think it is very well organized. Maybe BLOGS are perfect for tracking a campaign and horrible for "discussions" and "debates".

What are the thoughtsof other?
