Why does love have to be so sad?
I guess because nobody knows you when you are down and out

1. You know the old saying
laugh and the world laughs with you, cry and you cry alone

Or something to that effect

2. Like my mother always said
It is better to laugh than to cry.

Still, I also say "love will out!", much like "truth will out." And, of course, there is always the poignant side of all this.

Oh well...

10. But his music is now classic, so who cares?
He did his stuff, it's indented in our minds forever. Enjoy the old stuff!

13. I agree with other replies: It makes, no enforces, life.
The power of love is just that, power, both negative and positive.

It's neither good, nor bad, it simply is.

I would imagine that ultimately, whether negative or positive, it's in one's power to love that love regardless of it's shading.
